The Every Body Campaign unites 60+ brands from across the beauty industry in support of reproductive justice for all.
The Every Body Campaign is the largest beauty industry-backed reproductive justice initiative in history. As an industry founded and propelled by women and LGBTQ+ people the issue of reproductive justice hits close to home. Together we are taking a stand for our community, for bodily autonomy, and for reproductive justice.
In 2022, the first edition of The Every Body Campaign made history and raised $168k for The SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective. This year, we hope to make an even bigger impact for all women and birthing people. The Every Body Campaign is powered by Saie.
The SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective is the largest multi-ethnic reproductive justice collective in the nation.
Formed in 1997 by 16 organizations of women of color, SisterSong has worked to be a voice for reproductive justice on behalf of BIPOC communities.
SisterSong activates individuals and organizations across the U.S. to improve the reproductive lives of marginalized communities and advance the perspectives and needs of women of color.
They define Reproductive Justice as the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.
On January 22nd, 1973, The Supreme Court recognized that the decision whether to continue or end a pregnancy belonged to the birthing individual– not the government. This landmark decision was titled Roe v. Wade.
In 2022 this constitutional protection of abortion was overturned which allowed for a devastating number of reproductive bans and restrictions nationwide. Approximately 1 in 3 women and birthing people in the United States live in a state that bans or restricts abortion.
With the 2024 presidential elections in full swing, the right to a safe and legal abortion is center stage. We have a duty to use our voices and votes to protect reproductive justice for all. Join us by registering to vote and organizing your community to win this fight for our rights.
Reproductive Justice is an intersectional movement that acknowledges the ways in which intersecting factors, such as race and social class, limit the freedom of marginalized birthing people to make informed choices about pregnancy.
The movement expands the pro-choice conversation into one that includes the reproductive lives of all birthing people: from the accessibility of abortion services to that of contraceptives, comprehensive sex education, STI prevention and care, alternative birthing options, adequate prenatal and pregnancy care, domestic violence assistance, adequate wages to support our families, safe homes, and so much more.
